RARE RARE RARE '42 Cadillac!
Incredible Condition, very Original!
Starts right up and drives like a Brand new Car!
In 1942 most Manufacturers were already gearing up for wartime production. Cadillac was already advertising that they produced parts for Allison Aircraft engines, but they would move to produce far more than that. Production of Cadillac Automobiles would only last four months in 1942 before the production lines would switch over to Tanks and more. The Government mandated that Auto Manufacturers would cease using chrome for anything other than grilles and bumpers for the 1942 model year. A mandate that Cadillac seemed to largely ignore when one examines most of the surviving examples. Cadillac would not begin production of passenger cars again until October of 1945, so the example represented here was one of the final Cadillacs sold until the end of the war.
This Cadillac is Finished in Black with a Tan Interior. Powered by a Correct 346 Cubic Inch Flat Head V8 with a 3 Speed. Many original type components including Oil Bath Air Cleaner, Glass Washer Bottle, Glass Fuel Filter, Generator, Harrison Radiator, Spare tire, Stainless Cadillac Wheel Covers with Whitewall tires and more!
